natThe company received the Excellence Award at the “Disaster Prevention and Mitigation × Sustainability Awards 2026, ” organized by the General Incorporated Association for Disaster Mitigation and Sustainable Technology.
This award recognizes outstanding disaster prevention, disaster mitigation, and sustainable technologies and initiatives that contribute to the creation of a safe and secure society.
In this project, we applied “Scanat ”—which has a proven track record in the construction sector—to infrastructure maintenance and civil engineering sites (Scanat -D), which applies “”—a technology with a proven track record in the construction sector—to infrastructure maintenance and civil engineering sites, has been recognized as an innovative initiative that significantly contributes to improving on-site efficiency.
What was particularly highly regarded during the review process was “the high level of effectiveness demonstrated in practical applications at the national and local government levels.”
Through our collaboration with Kotobuki Construction, we have established and promoted specific methods for applying this technology at civil engineering and construction sites under the name “Scanat -D.”
In 2024, the project was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s “Project to Promote Efficient Construction Work Toward the Realization of Work-Style Reform” and was adopted for construction projects in Fukushima Prefecture.
No special equipment is required. With just an iPhone or iPad, even non-technical users can instantly convert on-site scenes into 3D data and share them via the cloud.
In response to challenges in traditional infrastructure inspection and maintenance—such as “costs associated with specialized equipment” and “the burden of manual measurements”—the “Scanat " system—which allows anyone to quickly and accurately collect data using their own mobile devices—was the decisive factor in its recognition as a model for sustainable infrastructure management.
With measures to address aging infrastructure and work-style reforms in the construction industry becoming urgent priorities, we are pursuing “digital transformation (DX) that reduces the burden on the front lines and leads to tangible results.”
Encouraged by this award, we will continue to contribute to the advancement and efficiency of infrastructure maintenance nationwide.
You can try out the “Scanat "Usability and Accuracy" can be tested right away on your iPhone or iPad.
We invite you to experience this on-site digital transformation, which is attracting attention from national and local governments alike.
