🔳Scanat Challenges Before Implementation

・The “three-dimensional feel of the scene” that photos alone can’t convey

In the past, we took photos on-site to share the situation, but in complex or confined spaces, it was difficult to get a complete picture, and there were many cases where it was hard for stakeholders and workers to understand the situation without seeing the site in person.

In particular, information such as
(slopes and depth),
(narrow roads and work spaces),
(the extent of the construction area)
, and
was difficult to convey through photographs alone, and the time required to explain these details posed a challenge.

🔳Scanat How We Discovered It and Why We Adopted It

• “Simple and easy to see the results” was the deciding factor

We were introduced to this tool by an acquaintance, and as we evaluated it, we found that :
・It is simple to use
・It has a low barrier to adoption
・It helps streamline on-site management and information sharing

. Based on these factors, we decided to implement it as a tool that would help reduce the workload on our on-site staff.

🔳Benefits of Implementation

・Faster understanding of on-site conditions, leading to smoother explanations

ScanatAfter implementation, we were able to visualize the site in three dimensions, which significantly improved understanding among all stakeholders.

[Before Implementation]
・During on-site surveys, we took numerous photos, but even with a wide-angle lens, we couldn’t capture the entire scene.
・We struggled to explain the layout to customers in complex or narrow spaces.
・We had to visit the site in person to get a sense of the layout.

[After Implementation]
・Intuitive 3D sharing of on-site conditions
・Instantly grasp large areas and complex shapes at a glance
・Smoother explanations to customers lead to improved satisfaction
・Enhanced reputation as an “innovative company”
